# Tokenomics

The $OOBI token is an **In-game Currency** used to purchase items inside of games published by OOBIKOO Games. After we launch [Chains Nodes and Decentralisation](/tokenomics/chains-nodes-and-decentralisation.md) the $OOBI token will also serve as a **Network Token** generated by our Master Nodes.

## Network

The $OOBI token will initially launch on the Ethereum network but we will also support Base and potentially other networks in the future.

## Acquiring $OOBI

#### Membership

Members can earn tokens by playing our games. Most Arcade Games and many Store games will provide opportunities to earn $OOBI tokens.

#### Master Nodes

$OOBI tokens are generated by our Master Nodes and used to incentive early network participation and also to incentivize game developers to publish on our portal.

*At this stage $OOBI is not traded on centralised exchanges. We will announce exchange partnerships in the future.*

## Utility

From launch $OOBI will, along with ETH and USD, be the currency used in our store and in our games. You can use it to buy games, and to buy items and other features inside our games.

After we launch our Master Nodes $OOBI will also the gas that drives our network. Doing work on the network earns you $OOBI and consuming work on the network requires you to pay $OOBI.
